Bio for Suzanne Schillmoeller

Suzanne Schillmoeller
Suzanne Schillmoeller, Esq.
Suzanne Schillmoeller is a results-oriented attorney with 20 years of experience spanning corporate contract law, complex litigation, and labor and employment matters. Licensed to practice in Minnesota and the District of Columbia, Suzanne brings AM Law 100 firm training and boutique firm agility to every client relationship, having built her career at nationally recognized firms in Washington, DC.
In her current practice, Suzanne represents clients in workers’ compensation claims and disputes, drawing on nearly two decades of litigation and employment-law experience to advocate for injured workers and navigate the complexities of the workers’ compensation system from filing through resolution.
Earlier in her career, Suzanne practiced labor and employment law, representing management in employment litigation, defending institutions and companies against harassment and wrongful termination claims — including the defense of Tulane University’s Board of Administrators in litigation arising after Hurricane Katrina — and drafting settlement agreements, protective orders, and related pleadings.
On the litigation side, Suzanne has supported high-stakes matters in antitrust litigation, pharmaceutical litigation, economic and banking litigation, patent defense, and international products liability litigation. Her litigation toolkit includes drafting demand letters, pleadings, interrogatories, privilege logs, and strategic case memoranda, as well as leading document review teams and coordinating deposition preparation.
Suzanne earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law, where she graduated with honors, served on the Business Law Review, and earned Dean’s List honors. Her model answer on the Property/Contracts essay was selected for the July 2006 Florida Bar Exam.
Outside her legal practice, Suzanne is active in her community as a former foster parent, continuing to attend court hearings and meetings on behalf of foster children, and the needy.
